With a passion for empowering individuals on their journey to healing, I am Melanie Lehman, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have experience working in inpatient psychiatric settings, residential substance use disorder programs, and in various settings at Veterans Affairs. Since earning my Bachelor's degree in 2000 and Master's degree in 2002, both from Missouri State University in Springfield, MO, I have enjoyed working in diverse backgrounds with individuals and couples. I have assisted clients addressing concerns related to depression, anxiety and trauma with both adults and adolescents. Holding my clinical license since 2007, I bring extensive experience and expertise to the field.
In my practice, I utilize evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, and Integrative Behavioral Couples Therapy. Beyond these, I incorporate holistic methods like breath work, meditation, and mindfulness, recognizing the interconnectedness of mental, emotional, and physical well-being. I appreciate a holistic approach to therapy, ensuring a comprehensive and personalized strategy for each client's unique path to healing and wholeness. This philosophy informs my practice and empowers individuals to integrate various aspects of their well-being. I also believe in the power of establishing a strong rapport with my clients as a key component to the success of our work together. By understanding their individual preferences and needs, I create a supportive and collaborative environment that fosters healing and personal growth.
